It All Starts with the Cow
Great cottage cheese starts long before it hits the tub. It starts in the paddock.
Cottage cheese has very few ingredients, so there's nowhere to hide. That's why we started with one question: where does the best milk come from?
Our answer is Jersey cows from the dairy pastures of Victoria, Australia. 🐄

So, what is Jersey milk?
Jersey milk comes from Jersey cows, a small breed of dairy cattle with a big reputation. They may be smaller than other dairy breeds, but they don't hold back when it comes to the good stuff. Their milk is known for being naturally rich, creamy and full-bodied, which is why it has such a loyal following among milk lovers.
Think of it as the milk you reach for when you want something a little more special, without making your everyday routine complicated.
Why is it so creamy?
More milk fat: Jersey milk naturally contains a higher proportion of milk fat than milk from many other breeds, which gives it that smooth, rich mouthfeel.
More protein to work with: Cottage cheese curds are formed from milk proteins, so milk that starts out richer in protein gives us a head start on creaminess and satisfaction.
No faking it: Because the richness comes from the cow, we don't need thickeners or fillers to make it taste indulgent.
Superior taste that comes from the cow, not the ingredients list. Say less.
Naturally nutritious, too
Great taste is only half the story. Jersey milk also brings plenty to the table:
Protein: Essential for supporting muscles, bones and everyday body functions. Combined with our cottage cheese recipe, you get 14g of protein per serve.
Calcium: Milk and calcium go hand in hand, and calcium helps maintain normal bones and teeth.
Naturally occurring nutrients: A reminder that real food doesn't need a complicated ingredient list.
Jersey vs regular milk: what's the difference?
It all comes down to the cow. Different dairy breeds naturally produce milk with different characteristics, and Jerseys are particularly well known for milk that's rich in milk fat and protein. That's what gives it a signature creamy texture and a satisfying, full-bodied taste. If you love food that tastes rich and keeps you full, you'll notice the difference.
Why Victorian dairy?
Victoria is the powerhouse of Australian dairy, and it's easy to see why. Here's what we love about the way our milk is produced:
Grass-fed, non-GMO Jerseys: The cows enjoy open pastures with a grass-based diet and non-GMO supplementary feed. Happy cows, good milk.
A dedicated Jersey herd: Milk from Jersey cows raised on the farm, so it's a short, simple story from paddock to product.
Family farming heritage: Generations of dairy knowledge and a real passion for quality. We're all about brands with a story, and this one's a good one.
